Programs for Kids
We've got a variety of STEAM education programs to engage our youngest makers, ages 6-18. Keep them challenged during school breaks or sign them up for single-day or weekly sessions where they can learn something new!
2024 Summer Camps!
Ages 11-17
This next-step in the world of industrial design through woodworking will enable youth to continue their woodworking interests towards developing modern woodworking skills safely in our community woodshop under the instruction of experienced woodworking instructors.
Ages 12-17
Build your MouseBot; program your MouseBot; control your MouseBot; then take your MouseBot home to meet the family - that’s what the Arduino MouseBot camp is all about. Jump into learning how circuits work and how to program them!
Ages 9-14
Learn tools and software essential to any aspiring maker, whether your child is looking to level up their maker game or start from the ground up this is the class for them.
Ages 10-14
Learn modern wood preparation including measuring, joinery, planning, sanding, routing, lathing, cutting, gluing, and finishing techniques in this action-packed camp.
Ages 11-17
In this camp kids will get an introduction into soldering, basic electronics then use that knowledge to build their very own Bluetooth speaker, Neon LED sign and more!
Ages 6-8
Craft and Tech for Young Makers is designed with 6-8-year-olds in mind! This camp is a blend of creativity and technology, offering a journey into the endless possibilities of a makerspace. Guided by our passionate and skilled instructors, campers will gain experience with diverse materials, techniques, and tools. From constructing ingenious devices to designing bespoke t-shirts and jewelry, each project aims to spark curiosity, encourage innovative thought, and result in a unique project that campers can't wait to show off.
Ages 13-17
Welcome to our Advanced Maker Camp for Teens, a creative incubator designed specifically for the innovative minds of 13 to 17-year-olds. This camp takes the maker concept to a new level with projects that challenge and expand the skills and imaginations of our older campers. Utilizing the tools in our well-equipped makerspace, participants will engage in sophisticated projects that blend art, technology, and craftsmanship.
Ages 9-14

Ages 6-10
Our camp is a creative haven where young minds can explore, innovate, and bring their imaginative ideas to life. Every day, from LEGO building challenges to crafting stomp rockets and designing personalized t-shirts, is an adventure filled with hands-on activities and boundless creativity.
Ages 8-11
This is a week-long camp combining our class on Digital Painting with Procreate, and Vector Design in Linearity Curve (formerly Vectornator).
Ages 10-14 & 13-17
Join us on a journey into the world of Tabletop Roleplaying Games! You will create as much as you play. Design a character and join an adventuring party with your fellow campaigners, while making your own miniatures, cast resin dice, and other gear.
Ages 13-17
Your student will get hands on experience with a wide range of equipment and tools - from metal shears to MIG welders - to design and build their own projects in metal.
Our camp is designed to ignite creativity, build confidence, and foster a love for craftsmanship through hands-on experiences with hand tools. Campers will learn essential woodworking skills under the guidance of experienced instructors. With safety as our top priority, campers will be introduced to various hand tools, such as saws, drills, hammers, chisels, and sandpaper, as they embark on crafting their own masterpieces.
Ages 9-14
Learn the basics of working with stained glass, a gorgeous historical medium, as well how to fuse and slump glass in a kiln, and melt glass using a gas torch to create beads and marbles.

Maker Nexus offers youth education throughout the year, including Spring Break and Winter Break programs, weekly homeschooling sessions, and partnerships with local schools.
Weekly Sessions
Groups that meet weekly on the same day of the week for 3-4 hours. Drop-in single day options are often available.

Week-long day camps for aspiring makers, timed to coincide with school breaks in the Silicon Valley area.
