Make Anything You Can Imagine
Our 7,000 square foot facility at 234 East Caribbean Drive, Sunnyvale, California is packed with tools and top end equipment and has lots of room for you to create. With our classes and help you can make anything. If you have something specific in mind, contact us with questions. If you have the maker urge to step away from your desk and build something, but you're not sure what you want to make, check out our project classes. See some samples of what you could make with us.
As a member you get access to all of our tools. The most up-to-date list is on our wiki. To name a few:
Comprehensive Textile Area, including industrial sewing machines
ShopBot CNC router
Our Community Build Tables
Members can reserve a machine for 2 hours a day, 6 hours a week. If the machine is not reserved by someone else, you can work more hours on a machine but need to yield to another member who has not used up their time. If you have a need to run a tablesaw all day long, or a laser cutter for 4 hours every day, we may ask you to buy a more expensive membership. Our objective is to make sure we equitably share the machines between all members.
We have classes on how to use all of our equipment and software. Starter classes cover basic operation and safety and last one to two hours. After completing a starter class you may reserve the machines and use them to make things.
For new makers we provide a number of self-study projects. They grow from simple to more complex. Each project is meant to exercise your skills in a particular area. If you complete all these projects you will be very comfortable using all kinds of different tools and their software.
And, our staff and consulting volunteers are always available to help you.
We are open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 10 PM.
Join The Community
Sit with like-minded makers of all different skills and experience. We are an accepting, open community that values diversity. Everyone is treated with respect. You will be part of the community that guides the development of the makerspace. As we grow, the decisions about what equipment to add or what classes to develop or how machine reservations are handled will be made in consultation with the membership.
All of this wonderful stuff for just $150 a month. Think of what you could do in a well equipped makerspace like this!
